Cake Topper added later...

Both of these cakes had additional decorations added at the party.

Mattie, the birthday boy, had his name added in yellow stars on lollipop sticks behind Mickey's ears.

Smash!

The topper for this girly cake was a high heel shoe and feathers!

A Pink Birthday Cake!

When asked for a chocolate cake with pink icing, I took the opportunity to decorate the cake with designs inspired by some quilling cakes that I had seen online.  Modern, yet girly, I think.  Hope you had a happy birthday, Jana!!

A mixture of fondant and gumpaste was cut into strips and rolled to create the flowery designs.

Cakes for Summer - Flowers, Rainbows, Fishing!!

These cakes were served up in the summertime... one for a retirement party and two for birthday celebrations.

The colors of hydrangeas and the butterflies on top remind me of summer.  Basketweave
on the top seems summery, too

Flowery Cakes for the Ladies

A classic design for a birthday cake for a lady will almost always include flowers and there are so many possibilities!

Gumpaste flowers, shiny chocolate ganache, and cake balls!

More gumpaste flowers on buttercream.

This design is all buttercream... a popular request.
