Cookie Cupcake Toppers for a Baby Shower

These little cookies were fun to make and I liked the idea of having an additional treat on top of cupcake goodness.
Saw this cookie on  Sweetsugarbelle's blog ( the master of cookie decorating, in my book) and had to make them.

Fondant baby heads on top of royal icing stayed relatively soft and good to eat.

Two Celebrations

These treats were prepared for two celebrations that took place at our local senior center this past June.  The first was a celebration on Flag Day to honor those who have served our country so proudly and to remind us of our amazing heritage.

The second gathering celebrated our wonderful center garden featuring flowers and vegetables.  Volunteers did an exceptional job at maintaining this garden throughout the year.

My cookies were served at the celebration... bugs and flowers, of course!

Cookies for Christmas

Some of my favorite cookie designs are for Christmas, whether the classic rolled sugar cookie or gingerbread.  A personalized cookie wrapped and ribboned makes a great stocking stuffer.

Snow globe designs using a round cutter.

Using a snow globe cutter, I added names.

An ornament cutter shaped cookie iced with rolled fondant and stenciled with royal icing.

Gingerbread minis prepared for a holiday tea.

Flip Flops for a Cause

Last weeks cookies for the cause were flip flops.  Bright colors and style perfect for summer snacking!  It's so  nice to add  money to the bucket designated for the Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance.  Thank you!

More Cookies for a Cause

I'll be walking with my niece in a fundraiser for the Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance in September, so I'm starting a little fundraising now.  This cause is near and dear to our hearts and we hope to do our part in promoting education about this insidious disease.

Cookies for Fun!

What a perfect idea for a summertime kid's gathering... stay out of the heat at a bowling birthday party!!

This party celebrated Avery's 9th birthday!

Cookies for a Cause - The Grand Opening of a Garden

I was honored to attend the grand opening of our Life Enrichment Center's new Therapeutic Garden.  It will provide hours and hours of joy to the members of Fayette County's Life Enrichment Center as they explore the lovely accessible pathways through raised beds of flowers, vegetables, and water features.  The amount of volunteer work that went into this project is simply amazing.  Kudos to all who made this dream a reality.

Baby plants now, but in a year or two this garden will be overflowing!

Cookie treats for those attending the grand opening.

Eat your vegetables!!!!!

Party Cookies

I love to create themed cookies.  They may reflect an event, an invitation, or a "special something" in the life of  the honored guest.

Favors for a special Elvis fan!
A girly cowboy hat to celebrate a special birthday.

Favors for wedding guests.  These cookies were iced with embossed fondant and then decorated with royal icing.

These cookies said "Thank You" to some very special employees at a nearby assisted living center.

For a "King of the Jungle" baby shower.

Iced beer mug cookies were created to celebrate at an Octoberfest themed co-ed wedding shower.

To celebrate spring!

Cookies for a Cause

These cookies were created for our local Senior Services Center fundraising dinner with a Rhapsody in Blues theme.  Blue and bling decorations covered the tables and I tried to follow that lead in cookies designed for that event.  The "Thank You" cookies were included in gift baskets given to sponsors.

Welcome to Bobbie's Cakes and Cookies!

Bobbie's Cakes and Cookies has been designing and baking custom-creations for weddings, birthdays, showers, and other special events since 2008.  I personally work with each customer to insure that his or her design expectations and baking needs are exceeded.  I strive to create an artistic exterior without compromising on a delicious dessert.  I have decided to create a blog to share my designs and to give my customers a place to search for inspiration for their own custom project.

Today I would like to share a cake I created a few weeks ago for my soon-to-arrive great nephew, Wes Jr.  His parents are utilizing a vintage theme for his nursery, and we wanted to capture that same spirit in his baby shower cake.  I decided to include vintage toys in the design, including a jack in the box, a drum, a train, and a sock monkey.  I also created rocking horse cookies to serve as the guests' favors.  My niece was delighted with the results, and I hope you will be too.
